Important: You must install Telegram on your phone first. Telegram requires a phone number to create your account. After that, you can also use it on desktop or web.
Download Telegram on your phone
Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android) and search for Telegram. It is the one with a white paper airplane on a blue circle. Tap Install or Get.
Open the app and create your account
Open Telegram and tap Start Messaging. Select your country, enter your phone number, and tap the arrow to continue. Telegram will send you a verification code via text message. Enter that code.
Set up your profile
Enter your first name (last name is optional). You can add a profile photo if you want, or skip it. That is it, you now have a Telegram account.

If you want Telegram on your desktop (makes it easier to copy the bot code later), open desktop.telegram.org or web.telegram.org. To connect it to your phone account:

@BotFather is Telegram's official tool for creating bots. Tap this link to open it, or search "BotFather" in Telegram.
Create your bot
Type /newbot and send it. BotFather will ask two things:
First, a display name (what people see, like "My AI Assistant").
Then a username ending in "bot" (like "MyAIBot" or "JohnsHelperBot").
Copy the access code
BotFather will send a long code that looks like 1234567890:ABCdefGhI...
